What is Thulium Laser?
The 1927nm Thulium Fiber Laser uses selective photothermolysis to target water within the skin, supporting tissue regeneration while treating superficial skin concerns with minimal downtime.
Its wavelength is strongly absorbed by water, particularly within the epidermis and superficial dermis, while minimising absorption by melanin. This allows precise treatment of superficial skin concerns with minimal damage to surrounding tissue.
Compared with more aggressive ablative laser technologies, the 1927nm wavelength provides effective skin rejuvenation with less downtime while targeting the junction between the epidermis and dermis.
