Facial ultrasound for injectors
withDr Lisa M Hackett
About this workshop
This is an introductory session designed for aesthetic injectors who want to understand how facial ultrasound can support their clinical practice and gain hands-on experience with diagnostic ultrasound equipment, guided by Dr Lisa M Hackett.
Lisa has spent more than 30 years working with ultrasound across orthopaedics, sports medicine, rheumatology, reproductive medicine, and more recently, facial aesthetics. She began her career in Sydney in 1993, working alongside hand surgeons at a time when musculoskeletal ultrasound was still being defined.
She holds a PhD in Medicine from UNSW, a Master of Science in Research from UNSW, is a Fellow of the Australasian Sonographers Association, an Accredited Registered Sonographer (ASAR). She has authored and co-authored more than 55 peer-reviewed publications and is a recipient of the ASA's Sonographer of the Year, Educator of the Year, and Researcher of the Year awards.
Teaching has been central to her work for over 25 years. Her approach is always the same — it's not just about acquiring an image, it's about understanding what you're seeing and knowing what to do next.
